Miyazaki Prefecture and Kawasaki City have signed a Basic Agreement on Collaboration and Cooperation between Miyazaki Prefecture and Kawasaki City (commonly known as the Saki-Saki Model), and since 2021, Hotel Metropolitan Kawasaki has been promoting the use of Miyazaki beef, known as the "best tasting in Japan," as well as the appeal of "Miyazaki Prefecture, the sunny side of Japan," through food, tourism, and other aspects of the hotel's collaborative relationship with the city through the hotel's restaurants. This Miyazaki Fair marks the fifth time it has been held.

Course menu

This time, the event will be divided into two parts, with the first half, from January 15th to February 28th, focusing on Nobeoka.Chef Miyashita personally traveled to Miyazaki Prefecture to carefully select ingredients and experience the local food culture before creating the menu.

The lunch and dinner buffet will feature a variety of dishes made with ingredients from the tropical prefecture of Miyazaki, including chicken nanban and spicy noodles, which originated in Nobeoka, mexicali escabeche from the rich seafood, and sea bream chazuke.We also plan to offer Miyazaki beef (dinner only), the most delicious beef in Japan, which will be the first in history to win the Prime Minister's Award (National Wagyu Beef Competition) for four consecutive years in 2023.
